Who's behind it

MotionConvert is built by Sion Verhoef, a motion and PLC engineer at an OEM machine builder. More about the background behind the tools and the articles follows soon.

Plots of position, speed, acceleration and jerk for one move, with its move time and cycle time.

Scaling

Encoder, frequency, velocity and analog scaling from two measured points or the mechanics, with the factor between them.

Statusword Decoder

Decode CiA 402 statusword and controlword values used in servo drive communication.

How it's built

Django and Python on the backend, responsive HTML/CSS/JS on the front. All calculations run server-side using Python's Decimal library: one codebase, one source of truth, no rounding drift between browser and API.
