To convert fahrenheit (°F) to celsius (°C), use the formula °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. The reverse conversion is °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Temperature scales have different zero points, so the conversion includes an offset and cannot be done with a single multiplication factor.
